Using the Wrong Tongs

There is no one size fits all when it comes to the tongs you will need through your bladesmithing adventures. If you are just starting out, you can get by with one tong, since you will primarily be making the same size or designed knife. But, at some point, you will need to expand your tong collection. Not using the right tongs when holding your work can quickly result in a terrible accident. The work can easily slip from the tongs, especially when hammering.
